Uzbek inventor seeking partners to tap renewable sources of energy Uznews.net – As the West is looking for renewable sources of energy, trying to reduce its dependence on oil and gas supplies from undemocratic countries, a scientist from Uzbekistan, German Treshalov, believes that his invention is what the world, including Barack Obama, needs.
He has won a prestigious EU prize in Brussels for his research in this sphere.
Uznews.net has managed to speak to him about his invention and ways of implementing his scientific ideas.
Uznews.net: German, the first question will undoubtedly be about your invention. You are saying that you were first to discover some natural effect from which energy can be extracted. What is it?
German Treshalov: No, no … Of course, I was not the first … Theories and suggestions about the existence of this effect, or phenomenon, in the nature were made a long time ago. We have grounds to link our invention to the hypothesis suggested by 19th century British physicist James Maxwell who also assumed that there existed this kind of effect or process in thermodynamics. Now this effect is known as Maxwell’s Demon.
However, I believe that we were first to prove the existence of this effect in a simpler way and partially, to derive a special mathematic formula, to publish it officially and to patent it.
At present, many progressive scientists and researchers have similar projects. Unfortunately, most of them do not represent academia, which is still actively opposing these projects.
Uznews.net: What are you doing to evoke a response from people who make decisions and have the opportunity to test and, possibly, to sell your invention?
German Treshalov: Today, I and my partners are centred on the theoretical demonstration of our invention. However, many people say: “Why don’t you make a device to demonstrate your invention and resolve all your problems?” But only people that are not well informed can think this way.
Unfortunately, the case is not that simple. We have a small prototype of our device. But it is not suitable for a full-scale demonstration. We need to make one with significantly bigger dimensions, which demands a lot of money. However, I assure you that no-one would look at it even if we were to make one.
Uznews.net: Why would they not even look at it?
German Treshalov: To reply this question, I can make an example of the Irish company Steorn, which has made a device but failed to demonstrate it fully because the company could not explain how it works.
When the company tried to invite academics, the latter asked if the company could explain how its device worked. The company failed to do this, so scientists refused to attend the tests of its device machine, saying that it was just “an expensive trick”.
Uznews.net: What difficulties are you facing in giving theoretical explanation of your invention?
German Treshalov: This is what we are working on now. We understand that we will not be able to advance and proceed with the next experimental stage without theoretical explanation.
We are aiming at popularizing our discovery and attracting research institutes, engineers, production companies and any other interested parties. And we are ready for any sound discussion of our invention.
Uznews.net: How will the humankind benefit from your invention?
German Treshalov: Our technology, if used correctly, will make it possible to build hydroelectric power plants without dams.
In addition, it will considerably cut the cost of building hydropower plants and remove a threat of flooding posed by dams. These two factors limit the use of the planet’s hydropower resources vastly.
Uznews.net: Thank you very much for the interview.
German Treshalov: Thank you very much. |
